Be a Blessing to Someone Today

Judges 7:7 – “And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.”
Within our Churches we rejoice in the fellowship we share with those of “like precious faith.” Outside of these circles it becomes quite evident that true believers are relatively few in number. When I am boarding a plane to visit one of the Lighthouse Homes, dining in a restaurant, or attending a public gathering and observe the actions, language and conduct of the people, I wonder how many of them are not saved. I also wonder how many of them have never heard the gospel. I wonder if anyone has ever given them a tract or invited them to Church.

We must remember that the Church Age is drawing to a close and we will be held accountable as to how we have obeyed God’s Word to let our light shine. God gives us many opportunities every day to share the “Good News of Salvation” with those in which we come in contact. Your friends, neighbors, people at work, people where you shop may never hear the gospel unless you are willing to share with them how they can be saved.

Yesterday I was at Terra Mall in Tres Rios, Costa Rica. I was there to finish my daily walk. I walked two laps on the second floor and then two laps on the main floor. As I was passing the different stores and booths, I noticed an interesting booth that had handmade bracelets and other items for sale. The sales lady and her mother were working the booth and we started a conversation about the bracelets (fortunately they both spoke excellent English). I soon moved the conversation around to the need for every person to be saved to go to heaven. I gave each of them one of my tracts which they gladly took and started to read immediately. I shared with them how I grew up in an orphanage home that did not have Bibles or Church services and that led me to a very unhappy lifestyle. They were interested so I continued and told them how I got saved at a revival meeting when I was 27. I noticed there were tears in their eyes.

Then other customers came to the booth and they got busy. In parting, I told them I would be back to show them how they could also be saved. Please pray for me as I share the “Good News” with them.
