COVID-19 Update (July 13, 2020)

Hello Grace Chapel.  I hope this letter finds you doing well.

Unfortunately, the reason I am writing is to let you know of some immediate changes that will take place at our church.

In the last month, we have had four members that required a Covid-19 test due to possible exposure to the virus.  Three of which have come back negative.  We are saddened to inform you that Bro. Ted Caudill was informed today he received a positive result. We need to uplift both Ted and his wife, Sylvia, in prayer.

As most of you know, there is a rapid increase of positive cases in South Carolina. As discussed from the very beginning, it was decided that if anyone tested positive for the virus we would close the church for at least fourteen (14) days. During this time, the church will undergo additional disinfecting. We will not have any services again until August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. There will only be this one service time….not two as we have had the past several weeks. We will continue with the 10:00 a.m. service indefinitely. When we are able, and we pray this is over soon, Sunday school will begin at 9:00 a.m.   In the mean time, you can watch us at Grace Chapel of Ladson Facebook promptly at 10:00 a.m.

I want to exhort you, to encourage you, to implore you….please do not get complacent and comfortable watching from home.  This is not the way church is intended to be. We all need to encourage each other by our attendance as a body of believers in the confines of the local church.  As your earthly shepherd….I miss my flock greatly.

As usual, you may continue mailing your tithe check to:

Grace Chapel,

PO Box 47

Ladson, SC 29456

Or you may bring it to the church office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Finally, you may use our online giving found on our website at gracechapelladson.com.  It takes prayer, paying, and participation to keep our church functioning properly, to pay the staff, who continue to work, and to make sure our missionaries do not suffer a financial loss.   I pray you are committed to this ministry as we are all called to do as members of the body of Christ.

In conclusion, this was NOT an easy decision, but a decision made by the leadership team to ensure we are staying diligent in our safety requirements and guidelines, but we also love you and want you to stay safe as well.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions please call me at (843) 824-6002.  Even if you don’t have questions and you want to check in and say hello…call me!  “See” you on Facebook Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
