COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Response (March 14)

To all Grace Chapel Members and Guests

We want to let you know the guidelines and precautions that we are implementing at the church during the concerns surrounding COVID-19 and the coronavirus.  Currently, we have no known cases of COVID-19 at our church.  Scripturally, we do not want to live with a spirit of fear, but we do want to make decisions with a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).  For now our church doors will be open and we intend to meet for Sunday worship and fellowship.  However, we will continue to monitor the situation going forward.

Please be assured that we are taking extra precautions to promote a safe and secure environment.  This includes increased sterilization of surfaces.  We are asking people to be warm and welcoming to one another, and also be wise, not only for personal care but in order to minimize the impact it might have n others.  We encourage our members, greeters, ushers, and leadership team of pastors, to refrain from shaking hands as a way to minimize the spread of germs that may be harmful to others.  The pastors will refrain from shaking hands at the conclusion of the service by the door. Also, we are asking that you please refrain from entering the facility if any of the following applies to you:

  1. You have returned from China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Iran, or mainland Europe in the last 14 days.
  2. You reside with a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and the person has not been medically cleared.
  3. You have been exposed to someone with a known case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  4. You have been told by the government that you must self-quarantine for 14 days and that time has not passed.
  5. If you are currently running a fever, or have within the last 24 hours.

By entering this facility you are confirming that you are not prohibited from entering our facility on the basis of any of the above.

Please continue to pray for our church, our city, and our country during this time!

We are monitoring the situation daily.  As needed we will make other adjustments and seek to communicate those as quickly as possible.

We as a church and as followers of Christ are called to be Christ-Centered, Gospel-Centered, and Outward Focused, so our concern and our posture will continue to be informed by how we can best love our neighbor in the way we want to be loved.

We look forward gathering to together for worship this Sunday, in order to be reminded of and shaped by the Word of God, encouraged by the corporate worship in song, and renewed in our hearts as we consider our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your patience, understating and cooperation,

Pastor Bobby
